Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Appsgain Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us") about your use of MAV: Video & Music Player ("MAV", "the app"). By installing or using MAV, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Using MAV

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use MAV on Android devices you own or control, free of charge, for personal and non-commercial use. You must also follow Google Play's terms of service.

2. Your content

MAV plays, edits and shares files that you choose. You are responsible for the content you play, convert, trim, compress, store in the Private Safe, stream or send with Fast Share, and for making sure you have the right to use it. Don't use MAV to copy, distribute or make available content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.

3. Network streams and third-party content

  • MAV is a media player. We don't host, upload, provide, own or control any streams or channels.
  • Network Stream plays addresses that you enter. The channel directory shows public playlists maintained by the independent, community-run iptv-org project.
  • Third-party streams are the responsibility of whoever runs them. We don't check them, and we can't guarantee their availability, quality, legality or suitability.
  • Only play streams that you're allowed to access in your country.
  • If you own rights in content listed in the directory and want it removed, contact the iptv-org project or the stream provider. You can also email us at info@appsgain.in and we'll help where we can.

4. Fast Share

Only send files and apps you have the right to share, and only to people who want to receive them. Apps you share remain subject to their own developers' licences. Files you receive are your responsibility, so open them only if you trust the sender.

5. Private Safe

The Private Safe encrypts files on your device. Keep your PIN safe. We never receive your PIN or your files, so we can't recover them if you forget the PIN, clear the app's storage or uninstall MAV. Back up anything important before doing any of those.

6. Things you must not do

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using MAV
  • reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the app, except where the law or an open-source licence allows it
  • remove or change copyright, trademark or licence notices
  • use MAV to spread malware or harmful files

7. Intellectual property

The MAV name, logo, design and app, other than the open-source components listed below, belong to Appsgain Technologies Private Limited. These terms don't give you any rights in our trademarks.

8. Open-source software

MAV includes open-source software, used under its own licence:

  • Jellyfin Media3 FFmpeg Decoder and FFmpeg: GNU General Public License v3.0. Source code: github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-media3-ffmpeg-decoder and ffmpeg.org
  • AndroidX Media3 / ExoPlayer: Apache License 2.0
  • Jetpack Compose and AndroidX libraries: Apache License 2.0
  • Kotlin and kotlinx.coroutines: Apache License 2.0

9. Updates and changes

We may update, change or stop offering MAV or any feature at any time. We may also update these terms. If we do, we'll change the effective date above. Continuing to use MAV after an update means you accept the new terms.

10. Disclaimer

MAV is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that the app will be error-free, will play every file or stream, or will meet every need. Back up important files before editing, compressing, moving them to the Private Safe or deleting them.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Appsgain Technologies Private Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, files or content, arising from your use of MAV or third-party streams. Our total liability for any claim relating to MAV is limited to the amount you paid for the app, which is zero.

12. Ending these terms

You can stop using MAV at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, your licence to use MAV ends automatically.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
